A former Kansas State dude by the name of Billy Wilson, was doing well at Kansas State but has decided to drop out after doing his research on the value of his degree.
“YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED. You may not see it today or tomorrow, but you will see it some day,” Willson wrote. “You are being put thousands into debt to learn things you will never even use. Wasting 4 years of your life to be stuck at a paycheck that grows slower than the rate of inflation. Paying $200 for a $6 textbook.” -Billy Wilson
He does have a point, but college is a great experience… one that you cannot relieve as hard as you try. Trust me, I graduated, and have yet to go to another party like a college party. In some cases, a degree is absolutely worthless, but that does not hold true to positions in healthcare. We will always need doctors and nurses people. If you want a sure thing, that is probably the route to go. If not, a degree is going to open the door for lots of opportunities. Better to have one that to be applying for a job with out one when all the other applicants do.
